Australia

Working from Australia for the next few days. Absolutely beautiful country with some of the friendliest folks. Absolutely love the trains in Sydney and hope we get something similar in the US someday.

A few nights ago, Kayla and I ate at a very nice Japanese restaurant called JAPASU. We ended up getting the 4 course chefs tasting which included sashimi, bluefin tuna, tiger prawn, and Wagyu steak. Truly incredible experience and one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Even outside of fancy Japanese cuisine, most of the meals we have had here have been really tasty and affordable. My only complaint is that the portion sizes are way too big. We get shit in America for our portion sizes being too much. Meanwhile, over here in Australia I have been struggling to finish most meals.

Currently on the plane flying from Coffs Harbor to Sydney. Later tonight we’ll be flying out to Mildura to meet with customers for the next few days. After that it’s back to Sydney for a day and then a very long flight back home. The whole trip has been enjoyable, but there needs to be some organizational changes before I’ll do this again. Leaving the kids at home for a week and a half is challenging enough. Combine that with our schedules not being confirmed and changing daily, it’s just not worth the stress.
